​Co-founders Kenan Şinasi and M Reza Karimi established Konverta Recycling in 2018 in the city of Izmir. 

The company moved the headquarters to Bursa at the beginning of 2019.  In March the plant was established and in June all relevant licenses and permits for recycling operations were obtained from the authorities.
